Why do people think their cats are safe outside?

Great question! I have 3 indoor cats and I would NEVER put them in harm's way by letting them roam outside! My cats will die of old age, not being hit by a car or catching a disease or getting stolen and tortured and so on. I love my babies too much. I couldn't bear the thought of not knowing what happened to them. Plus, my cats don't want to go out, they are very happy inside with me!
