30 wks pregnant today & switching OB/GYN doctors?

I've had such a horrible pregnancy...throwing up every single day since January, lots of cramping, some bleeding, fainting from vomiting so much... My mom and I decided to switch doctors so I can deliver at the big hospital in my area that has a Level 3 Neonatal Unit just in case I go into preterm labor. The bigger hospital has more doctors and is more well known then the smaller hospital I was originally going to deliver in. Has anybody else switched doctors this late? I went to my previous doctor's office and signed the authorization of release of my medical records and have an appointment at the new doctors office now.
