Why are they called sports experts??

why are sports commentators or ysts called experts. time after time they are wrong, they are basically just making guesses the same as us. and if anyone remebers last year when kirk herbstreit and lee corso, said that no matter what UCLA did they wouldnt beat USC, and look what happened.(did anyone see what the ucla player said??) they all have favorites and are completely biased with their pics even though they are supposed to be neutral with their comments
