I need help from those awesome people with great writing ideas on very sad,tragic and depressing stuffs,please?

If you want something depressing - do it like something in that damned movie The Mist. That really got me for a while. Or have the character who dies end up dying because of a bad misunderstanding. Like they blame someone for something and end up dying without resolving the matter.
