Can a USB memory stick speed up online game performance?

I play Second Life and also like to play on pogo occionally,if I got a 32 GB or 64GB USB Flash Drive/Memory Stick, would this have any effect on game performance? I tried using my 4GB hoping it would help a little but it didnt seem to. I didnt know if this is because it was a low memory amount or what. Thanks for any help in advance!!
