Why does the media depict men as lazy, fat, deadbeat fathers & husbands?

I am bothered by TV shows that portray the head of the household as an unreliable breadwinner and unloving husband. Do you enjoy watching this blatant misrepresentation of manhood on TV? Is this an accurate perception of the real man in your household? Not for me.
