What Themes can you identify in the Harry Potter series?

The power of Love/Caring/Empathy is probably the biggest theme. I also noticed that Remorse, and the ability to feel it, plays a big part. One other theme is family and parenting. Voldemort and Harry have none. Snape's didn't like him. The Weasley's and the Malfoy's provide contrasting views of families. What other themes are there?
