Integrated vs discrete graphics card?

HUGE difference beteen integrated and add-on card. Your card will have a GPU AND RAM on board which means the system's resources are freed up to do other things. HUGE difference between integrated HD graphic display an aftermarket card. The integrated or CPU integrated GPU can't compete with an aftermarket card in most cases. If that is the 1GB model that I see for $58 then I would go for the extra card. It won't play recently released games but will handle most games that are over 2 years old. This def. isn't a gamers card. In your case it does seem to fit the bill because of your casual status and lower end taste. Don't mean that in a bad way. Just saying you aren't looking for extreme gaming.
