What you should do is state your thesis within the introduction, and then back it up with why you chose that side. For example, you could say something like "there are two sides to this issue, but [side A] is the most logical." and then first body paragrah: describe side a. Second paragraph: side b. Third paragraph: explain why side a makes more sense than side b.
